Since 1981, Leuthold has been designing, installing and maintaining geothermal systems in Sioux Falls, Rock Rapids, Luverne and surrounding areas. We were one of the first geothermal sales and service providers in the area. These systems use the temperature of the ground to heat and cool homes or buildings. This transfer of heat system uses no fuel therefore being much more energy efficient. Geothermal systems work through a series of pipes that absorb heat from the earth. Water is circulated through these pipes, is extracted through a heat pump and finally is dispersed throughout your building. In the summer, an indoor heat pump removes hot air inside the building and rejects it back in the earth through the ground loop.
